The Impact of Social Media Use on Team Feedback and Team Performance in Construction Site Management Practices

This thesis explores the role of social media in enhancing team feedback and team performance in construction site management practices. It investigates how SM platforms improve coordination, knowledge sharing, and member support among construction professionals in Australia. Using a conceptual model grounded in Communication Visibility Theory and Social Exchange Theory, the study employs survey data from 269 professionals to examine these relationships. Findings suggest that SM use significantly enhances team performance by fostering trust, collaboration, and efficient project communication. These insights provide practical strategies for construction managers to optimise SM integration, ultimately improving project outcomes and workplace efficiency.
