Disclosed is a method for preparing a biomechanical unbleached pulp from grass straw， wherein same is obtained by treating grass as a raw material with an alkaline biological enzyme， then subjecting same to a heating treatment by means of a hot alkali steam， and then pulping and washing same. Also disclosed are a mechanical pulp obtained by using the above method and the use of the mechanical pulp in primary color wrapping papers and paper-based materials.
