资源简介:
Teide National Park in Tenerife (Canary Islands) is home to one of the only two high mountain ecosystems in these Atlantic Ocean Islands. This alpine island ecosystem (above the treeline, 2000-3718 m a.s.l.) has been extensively studied for its volcanism and its characteristic endemic high mountain vegetation, but the composition of the soil microbial community has never been studied. We have characterised the bacterial and fungal microbiome thriving in bare soils and in the rhizosphere of the legume Spartocytisus supranubius (the Teide broom-plant), the most representative species of the summit shrub vegetation.
