To investigate the toxic effects of microplastic leachate and antioxidant 2,4-Di-tert-butylphenol (2,4-DTBP) which is a composition of microplastic leachate on zebrafish embryonic development and zebrafish adult intestinal flora, we collected agricultural films, simulated environmental fragmentation and light processes indoors, and examined microplastic leachate components. 2,4-DTBP from microplastic leachate alters the transcription levels of genes related to digestion and absorption in zebrafish larvae and the composition of intestinal flora in adult fish, hinders energy uptake and utilization in zebrafish, interferes with the process of glucolipid metabolism, and leads to disease, organ malformation and even death in zebrafish.
