This code was adapted from MATLAB code written by Dr. Bohnenstiehl at the Center for Marine Science and Technology at NCSU. Its purpose is to build a template kernel for use in the snapping shrimp detection algorithm. The audio file utilized in this code is included in the download (48 kHz/16 bit).If you are making use of this code for your own purposes, you will need to determine your own kernel, as its shape will likely change under different recording parameters.Check back soon for the full algorithm code.
