In this study, we examined the relationship between the diversity of bird species and diversity of insects species. In order to perform this experiment, we investigated two different study sites which were the woodlot and the grassland at York University, Keele campus. In each site, we used 10 different quadrats (each 1mx1m) to count the number of each insect species and we ran 10 transects using measuring tape to count the number of sighted individual bird species as we walked along each transect. This experiment was performed on Friday October 24,2014 at York University, Keele campus. The weather condition was about 9 degree celsius, wind speed 21 km/h and it was at 10:50 am.

本研究旨在探究鸟类物种多样性与昆虫物种多样性之间的关联。为开展本实验，我们选取了约克大学（York University）基尔校区的两处不同研究样地：林地与草原。在每处样地中，我们布设10个1m×1m的样方（quadrat）以统计各昆虫物种的个体数量；同时使用卷尺设置10条样线（transect），沿样线行进时统计各鸟类物种的目击个体数。本实验于2014年10月24日星期五在约克大学基尔校区完成，实验开展时的气象条件为：气温约9摄氏度，风速21千米/小时，观测时间为当日上午10:50。
