This FAIRsharing record describes: The Research Data Alliance Multi-omics Metadata Standards Integration (MOMSI) Working Group is a multidisciplinary group of experts in Omics domains technology applications (Genomics, Proteomics, Metabolomics, etc.) and various research subject areas (earth and environmental system sciences, biomedical sciences, microbiome sciences, etc.). The MOMSI WG Collection provides a live recommendations of expert-reviewed domain and generalist standards aimed to enhance Multi-omics “state-of-the-art” developments for improving data harmonization and integration. Standards provided in this collection include ontologies/controlled vocabularies, metadata reporting guidelines, data models/formats, and identifier schemas for adoption with the intent to support interoperable data integrations. New and existing standards listed in this collection have undergone an iterative in-depth landscape review process using the MOMSI curation dashboard sustainability workflow located at our GitHub repository. This process involves evaluating the accuracy and completeness of each standard and the minimal information criteria required for curation prior to addition to this collection to ensure expert curations support expert researchers and non-expert research support professionals. Our collection seeks to benefit and encourage continuous, open, and expert-driven curation of machine-actionable Multi-omics community standards in keeping pace with evolving research data management tasks, roles, and research data sharing best practices.
