Hazard ratio (HR) and 95% confidence intervals (CI) for incident cardiovascular (CV) events1 in the men (n = 6940) and women (n = 10 186) of the Malmö Diet and Cancer cohort (1991–2008) by categories of total index score2.

1Incident CV event was defined as non-fatal or fatal myocardial infarction or ischemic stroke, or death from ischemic heart disease.2Total index score ranged from 0 to 6 points based on adherence to six dietary components.
