Monthly diffuse photosynthetically active radiation dataset of China (1981 – 2010)

Photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) in solar radiation is the main energy source of plant photosynthesis. Diffuse PAR can enhance canopy light use efficiency, thus increasing ecosystem productivity. In order to predict terrestrial ecosystem production precisely, we need to include diffuse PAR data explicitly in ecosystem models. Therefore, we estimated monthly diffuse PAR data of China from 1981 to 2010, which will lay a foundation for further analysis of impacts of diffuse PAR on terrestrial ecosystem productivity. Meanwhile, we share this dataset publicly and provide online access and download services.

太阳辐射中的光合有效辐射（Photosynthetically active radiation, PAR）是植物光合作用的主要能量来源。散射光合有效辐射可提升冠层光能利用效率，进而提高生态系统生产力。为精准预测陆地生态系统生产力，需在生态系统模型中显式纳入散射光合有效辐射数据。为此，本研究估算了1981至2010年中国区域的逐月散射光合有效辐射数据集，该数据集可为后续分析散射光合有效辐射对陆地生态系统生产力的影响奠定基础。同时，本数据集已公开共享，并提供在线访问与下载服务。
