Number of Gunnison’s prairie dogs (and their approximate ages) captured and carried to home-den per day by a single female American Badger (Becky) from 05 June 2018 through 07 July 2018. A gunnison adult had first emerged from its natal nursery-burrow >11 months ago, and a juvenile had first emerged <2 months ago. “Age unknown” was either a large juvenile or a small adult. All data shown here are from a single study-area of Gunnison's prairie dogs at Valles Caldera National Preserve in 2018. Data in this file were checked one time by Samantha Kagel, and one time by John Hoogland shortly after creation of file in 2019.
