COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF ENGLISH AND UZBEK TERMINOLOGY

This article presents a comparative analysis of English and Uzbek terminology, focusing on their structural, semantic, and functional characteristics. Terminology plays a crucial role in scientific and technical communication, serving as a tool for precise knowledge transfer. English, as a global lingua franca of science, has developed a highly standardized terminological system, while Uzbek terminology reflects national linguistic traditions and recent processes of modernization. The study examines term formation methods, semantic equivalence, borrowing processes, and standardization mechanisms in both languages. The findings reveal both universal and language-specific features in terminological systems and highlight challenges in achieving equivalence between English and Uzbek terms.

本文针对英语与乌兹别克语术语展开对比分析，重点探究二者在结构、语义及功能维度的特征。术语在科技传播领域发挥着至关重要的作用，是实现精准知识传递的核心工具。作为全球科技通用语，英语已构建起高度标准化的术语体系；而乌兹别克语术语则承载着本国语言传统与近期现代化进程的印记。本研究考察了两种语言的术语构词方法、语义对等性、借词进程以及标准化机制。研究结果既揭示了术语体系中的普遍性与语言特异性特征，也点明了实现英语与乌兹别克语术语对等过程中面临的挑战。
