ACE and IPV among Bangladeshi adults_final data 2024

This study investigates the association between adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and intimate partner violence (IPV) perpetration in a nationally representative sample of 2,016 young adults (Mean age 28.27, SD 5.11) in Bangladesh, with a focus on gender differences. ACEs were categorised into two dimensions: threat (e.g., exposure to violence) and deprivation (e.g., lack of emotional or cognitive support). IPV perpetration was measured using the Hurt, Insult, Threaten, Screamed (HITS) scale.本研究探讨在孟加拉国全国代表性样本（2,016名年轻成年人，平均年龄28.27岁，标准差5.11岁）中，不良童年经历（ACEs）与亲密伴侣暴力（IPV）施暴行为之间的关联，并着重分析性别差异。不良童年经历被划分为两个维度：威胁（例如，暴露于暴力）和剥夺（例如，缺乏情感或认知支持）。亲密伴侣暴力施暴行为采用Hurt, Insult, Threaten, Screamed（HITS）量表进行测量。
