HL-14: Percentage of households to total households by amenities and assets

This dataset provides a comprehensive overview of the availability of household amenities and ownership of assets across rural and urban areas at various administrative levels (state, district, tehsil, and village/town). It includes data on housing structure, ownership status, and household size. Key amenities covered include sources of drinking water, location of water supply, types of latrine facilities, bathing facilities, waste disposal, lighting sources, and cooking fuel. It also details asset ownership like televisions, bicycles, and mobile phones. Additionally, the dataset categorizes households by housing conditions (good, livable, dilapidated) and structure type (permanent, semi-permanent, temporary). This dataset is crucial for socio-economic planning, understanding disparities, and assessing infrastructure development. The Houselisting and Housing Census data, collected during the Census of India, provides comprehensive information on housing conditions and amenities in the country. The data is collected from every household in the country, and then compiled and analyzed at various administrative levels.
