AGIPEB - Entscheidungen unter Unsicherheit. Analyse geplanter Institutionalisierungsprozesse in Paarbeziehungen unter dem Einfluss prekärer Beschäftigungsverhältnisse

The project investigates the process of institutionalisation and stabilisation of partnerships under the influence of precarious employment relationships in Germany. The focus is on central decisions in the lifestyle of couples that lead to a higher degree of relationship solidification and for whom both the possibility of long-term planning and a low labour market risk are conducive. These include marriage and distillation intentions, but also highly budgeted investment decisions such as the acquisition of a property for the purpose of joint capital formation. The main inspection is based on a sample of 1,083 persons who were interviewed by telephone in winter 2012/13. The target persons were individuals living in a partnership - both legitimate and illegitimate - with joint household management. One partner of each couple was interviewed, whereby the second partner is automatically excluded from the sample.
