A statistical-dynamical model, EPHC81, has been formulated to predict tropical cyclone motion in the Eastern North Pacific Ocean. Predictors utlized in its regression equations are obtained via simulated analog model and numerical prognoses. Guidance from EPHC81 is transmitted directly to operational forecasters at the Eastern Pacific Hurricane Center (EPHC).
