Recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA) affects millions of families worldwide with complicated pathogenesis. The vaginal microbiota is understood to be related to some pregnancy-related diseases, but its relationship with RSA remains unknown. 108 patients with RSA were enrolled to characterize the composition of vaginal microbiota in non-pregnant patients with RSA via 16S rRNA gene sequencing of the V3-V4 region on the Illumina MiSeq platform.
