Microbial communities of the coastal northern Gulf of Mexico. seawater metagenome

Water samples were collected at sites across the Louisiana coastline. The goal was to see seasonal and temporal differences of microbial communities across the coastal northern Gulf of Mexico. The samples were also taken to correspond with cultivation efforts done for the Louisiana State University Culture Collection (LSUCC).
