Nature reserves in Saarland: This category of protected areas are areas where special protection of nature and landscape is required in their entirety or in individual parts. Protected areas of this category are the most protected areas. In particular, wild plants or animals, biotopes or certain communities are subject to legal protection for their conservation, development, rare occurrence or scientific reasons.
