An overview of the elimination of contaminations from the water using sulfurized nano zero-valent iron

Sulfurized nano zero-valent iron (S-nZVI), as an emerging material for environmental pollution remediation, effectively improves the targeting remediation ability of nano zero-valent iron and has obvious advantages in water pollution remediation. However, due to the weak stability and poor dispersion of S-nZVI, its application in practical wastewater treatment is limited. The activity of S-nZVI can be further improved by loading treatment and surface modification to enhance the decontamination ability. In order to promote the application of S-nZVI in the removal of pollutants from water environment, this paper mainly summarizes the various preparation methods of S-nZVI, introduces the modification methods of S-nZVI, and summarizes the removal effects and removal mechanisms of loaded and modified S-nZVI on different pollutants.
