Pecan phyllosphere fungal microbiome amplicon sequencing

A pecan orchard in the plant breeding unit at EV. Smith in Tallassee, AL was sampled at multiple time points before fungicide application during the 2021 and 2022 growing seasons. Fungal DNA was extracted from leaf samples and a library was sequenced on an Illumina MiSeq in order to provide information on taxa that may be affected by multiple fungicide applications.
