Transcriptome analysis of Hemerocallis citrina Baroni in response to exogenous jasmonic acid

Treating plants with synthetic jasmonic acid (JA) induces a defensive response similar to herbivore attack, and is a potential strategy for integrated pest management. We aimed to examine: Whether exogenous application of JA can induce the improvement of resistance in Hemerocallis citrina Baroni (daylily) plants. JA can affect the expression of defense-related traits such as stomata, wax layer, secondary substance content and defense enzyme activity in daylily leaves.
