Title: Diversity and molecular characterisation of multidrug-resistant Enterococcus from chicken caecal samples in Tunisia: Detection of transmissible vancomycin and linezolid resistance genes Description:This repository contains DNA sequence datasets generated by Sanger sequencing during the current study on antimicrobial-resistant Enterococcus spp. isolated from poultry samples. Content of the repository: 1. E_faecium_MLST_sequences.zip Contains FASTA formats of MLST loci sequences (seven housekeeping genes) for each representative isolate of Enterococcus faecium. 2. E_faecalis_MLST_sequences.zip Contains FASTA formats of MLST loci sequences (seven housekeeping genes) for each representative isolate of Enterococcus faecalis. 3. Linezolid_resistance_genes.zip Contains FASTA formats of linezolid resistance genes detected in enterococci isolates. 4. vanA_sequences.zip Contains FASTA formats of vanA gene sequences detected in enterococci isolates. File format:All sequence files are provided in FASTA (.fasta) format. Sequence naming:Sequence filenames correspond to isolate identifiers reported in the manuscript tables. Associated data:Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) phenotypes, AMR genes, and Multilocus Sequence typing (MLST) data associated with the enterococci isolates are presented in the manuscript.
