The Herpetology collection is one of many collections found from the Department of Natural Science at the KwaZulu-Natal Museum. The collection is a minor but important collection within the museum, housing an important set of locally and international specimens. The collection is primarily used by external researchers, as our researchers have traditionally focussed on other groups. The collection notably contains the acquisition of JC Poynton's frog collection from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. It also house material of lizards, snakes and frogs which were donated by Ezemvelo KwaZulu-Natal Wildlife research staff. The collection date back 1907 and it has recently been look at by herpetologist Adriaan Jordaan and Christiaan Steenkamp from the Natural Science Collections Facility.

两栖爬行动物学馆藏（Herpetology Collection）是夸祖鲁-纳塔尔博物馆（KwaZulu-Natal Museum）自然科学部下辖的众多馆藏之一。该馆藏虽规模不大，却是馆内极具价值的藏品之一，收纳了一批重要的本土及国际标本。该馆藏主要面向外部研究人员开放，因本馆研究人员历来专注于其他生物类群的研究。尤为值得一提的是，该馆藏包含从夸祖鲁-纳塔尔大学（University of KwaZulu-Natal）收购的JC·波因顿（JC Poynton）蛙类标本馆藏。此外，馆藏还收纳了由埃泽姆韦洛-夸祖鲁-纳塔尔野生动物管理局（Ezemvelo KwaZulu-Natal Wildlife）研究人员捐赠的蜥蜴、蛇类及蛙类标本材料。该馆藏的历史可追溯至1907年，近期已由自然科学馆藏设施（Natural Science Collections Facility）的两栖爬行动物学家阿德里安·乔丹（Adriaan Jordaan）与克里斯蒂安·斯廷坎普（Christiaan Steenkamp）完成检视与研究。
