Species phylogeny, ecology and root traits as predictors of root exudate composition

In this study, a total of 65 neophytes (alien species introduced after 1500 A.D.), belonging to 51 genera and 25 families, occurring in the Czech Republic, were used. The species set represented plant families only from eudicots with Asteraceae, Brassicaceae Amaranthaceae, Polygonaceae and Fabaceae as the major families having 4 or more species. We measured different root morphological and biochemical traits (including exudate profiles) of these plant species grown in a controlled system.

本研究共纳入分布于捷克共和国的65个新归化种(neophytes,即公元1500年后引入的外来物种),分属25科、51属。该物种集仅涵盖真双子叶植物类群,其中菊科(Asteraceae)、十字花科(Brassicaceae)、苋科(Amaranthaceae)、蓼科(Polygonaceae)与豆科(Fabaceae)为物种数不少于4种的优势科。本研究测定了在可控培养体系中栽培的上述植物物种的多项根系形态及生理生化性状,包括根系分泌物谱。
