Generated and Used Data for Aircraft Mass Estimation Considering Temperature Variations Based on Optimal Control Theory and Statistical Learning

This dataset was used and generated for the paper "Aircraft Mass Estimation Considering Temperature Variations Based on Optimal Control Theory and Statistical Learning." The paper presents novel methods for estimating commercial aircraft takeoff mass using open data and open-source tools. The proposed approach is based on optimal control theory and the generation of a fuel-optimal flight dataset, which is included in the data.zip file. Validation was performed using EUROCONTROL PRC Data Challenge 2024 data. The corresponding code is available at https://github.com/dus42/optimass.
