The purpose of this study was to investigate on improvisation of instructional materials and effective classroom management in Calabar-South Local Government Area, Cross River State. To achieve this, a research question was posed and a null hypothesis was formulated to guide the study: - there is no significant relationship between improvisation of instructional materials and effective classroom management. A total sample of one hundred and sixty (160) primary school teachers was randomly selected for the study. A questionnaire was the main instrument used for data collection. Pearson product moment correlation analysis was considered the most appropriate statistical technique employed at .05 degree of freedom. The result of the analysis revealed that improvisation of instructional materials significantly relate to effective classroom management. Based on the findings of the study, it was recommended that teachers should be resourceful, creative, initiative, dedicated, committed and hardworking by improvising materials for effective delivery of the course content and the curriculum as a whole.<br>Keywords: Improvisation, Instructional Materials, Effective Classroom Management
