RMPT Corpus: Synthetic Rheumatology Clinical Reports in Spanish and Catalan

This repository contains the RMPT (RheuMatology Parc Taulí) corpus. It is a collection of synthetic hospital reports manually written by rheumatologists from the Parc Taulí Hospital (Catalonia, Spain) in collaboration with the NLP4BIA research group from the Barcelona Supercomputing Center. Data Description The corpus includes reports belonging to 12 different fictional patients. Each patient's report has been divided by visit and section type, summing up to 585 text documents. The documents for each section type are ordered chronologically, with the date of each visit being included at the beginning of the document. The four possible section types are: ANL (analytics, analítica in Spanish), CC (progress note, curso clínico in Spanish), EXC (other procedures, exploración complementaria in Spanish), and RES (summary of the clinical report, resumen in Spanish). Patients 1 to 3 have a main diagnosis of scleroderma, 4 to 10 of systemic lupus erythematosus and 11 to 12 of large-vessel vasculitis. Coming from a Catalonian hospital, the reports include text in both Spanish and Catalan. Many documents mix both languages, but most of the content is in Catalan. In term of writing style, since the documents are meant to replicate actual clinical records, they contain multiple typos, abbreviations, telegraphic language and other features typical to clinical writing. The filenames follow this structure: RMPT_{patient-number}_{section-type}_{doc-number}.txt. For instance, "RMPT_006_CC_14.txt".
