A Cross-Identification Table for Asteroids

ABSTRACT

We present a comprehensive cross-identification table for 1,383,894 asteroids.

The table includes Minor Planet Center (MPC) numeric identifiers, readable and packed designations, JPL-readable names, and SPK-IDs, alongside all alternate and provisional MPC designations. 

To enable bibliographic integration, we generate NASA/ADS query URLs capturing all known identifiers.

This dataset facilitates standardized linking of asteroid records across heterogeneous astronomical archives, surveys, and bibliographic databases, addressing ambiguities in provisional or incompletely recorded identifiers. 

A Python script is provided to query the dataset, for providing identifier resolution.

本研究针对1,383,894颗小行星构建了一套全面的交叉识别表。该表包含小行星中心（Minor Planet Center, MPC）数字标识符、可读格式与压缩格式的编号、喷气推进实验室（Jet Propulsion Laboratory, JPL）可读名称以及SPK-ID，同时涵盖所有备用与临时小行星中心编号。
为实现文献集成，本研究生成了涵盖所有已知标识符的美国国家航空航天局/天文数据系统（NASA/ADS）查询链接。
本数据集可实现异构天文档案、巡天项目与文献数据库间小行星记录的标准化关联，解决临时编号或未完整记录的标识符存在的歧义问题。
本研究附带了用于查询该数据集以实现标识符解析的Python脚本。
