Banner Of Peace

The [Banner of Peace](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banner_of_Peace) is a symbol of the [Roerich Pact](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roerich_Pact) and was proposed by Russian Mystic and Artist [Nicholas Roerich](https://www.roerich.org/) for an international pact for the protection of culture values. This pact is the first international treaty dedicated to the protection of artistic and scientific institutions and historical monuments. The most important idea of the Roerich Pact is the legal recognition that the defense of cultural objects is more important than the use or destruction of that culture for military purposes, and the protection of culture always has precedence over any military necessity.
