IR Spectra of Adhesives and Backings of Electrical Tapes

The dataset comprises infrared (IR) spectra of both adhesive and backing sides of electrical tapes collected from 25 different manufacturers available in the Indian market. It includes raw spectral data (4000–400 cm⁻¹), trimmed spectra (with noise and carbon dioxide regions removed), processed spectra, and the corresponding principal component (PC) data. The computation of principal components was performed using Unscrambler X software to facilitate chemometric and multivariate statistical analyses. This dataset provides a valuable reference resource for forensic, industrial, and material characterization studies involving pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes.本数据集涵盖从印度市场在售的25家不同厂商处采集的电工胶带胶面与背衬面的红外（infrared, IR）光谱。其包含原始光谱数据（波数范围4000–400 cm⁻¹）、经噪声与二氧化碳区域剔除后的预处理光谱、已处理光谱，以及对应的主成分（principal component, PC）数据。主成分的计算采用Unscrambler X软件完成，以适配化学计量学与多元统计分析的需求。本数据集可为涉及压敏胶带的法医、工业及材料表征研究提供极具价值的参考资源。
