Bacillus thuringiensis is a Gram-positive bacterium commonly used as a biopesticide, controlling a number of invertebrate hosts. B. thuringiensis DB27 in particular exhibits nematicidal properties. Whole genome sequencing was generated to produce a draft assembly with the aim to unlock novel pathogenic mechanisms utilised by B. thuringiensis DB27.
