We performed ATAC-seq assay on nuclei isolated from control and UTXKO mouse brown fat to delineate the role of UTX in setting chromatin accessibility. We analyzed the effects of UTX deficiency on a set of brown fat specific genes and observed reduced accessibility at ATAC-seq peaks and mRNA expression for many of these genes, including PRDM16 and PGC1a.
