BPS 16S rRNA sequences and LR-PCR amplicon sequences

The set-up of a novel BPS at an experimental farm in Rumbeke, Belgium provided the opportunity to study the role of the IS element IS1071 in the development of a pesticide catabolic BPS microbiome during the crucial period of starting-up a BPS. This study contributes to a fundamental understanding of the role of IS elements in microbial adaptation to changing environments at the community level.
