The purpose of the dataset C. elegans muscle aging is to deduce the age of the nemathode based on images of muscles. Images of C. elegans were taken at different chronological ages. This image is part of the day 4 data set. Note that the morphological and chronological ages are not fully correlated due to the variability among individuals even though the individuals are genetically identical. The source for the dataset is Laboratory of Genetics/NIA/NIH.本数据集为秀丽隐杆线虫（C. elegans）肌肉衰老数据集，其构建目标为基于线虫肌肉显微图像推断其个体年龄。研究人员已采集不同实足年龄的秀丽隐杆线虫肌肉图像，本条图像即属于第4日龄数据集子集。需注意：即便个体为遗传背景完全一致的同基因系，由于个体间存在表型异质性，其形态年龄与实足年龄并不能完全对应。本数据集的来源为遗传学实验室、美国国立衰老研究所（NIA）与美国国立卫生研究院（NIH）。
