Effect of frequency of organic load shock on the microbial community progression of an anaerobic digester acclimatized to low organic loading rate (high frequencies - E-2 and E-4)

This study tackled the anaerobic digester performance, microbial community progression, and biochemical pathway dynamics in the anaerobic digester inoculated with the microbiome acclimatized to a complex substrate at low organic loading rate, in response to repeated high organic load shocks at frequencies of once every 2 days (E-2) and once every 4 days (E-4).
