资源简介:
The antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a worldwide concern as shown by the winner theme for the 2014 BBC Longitude Prize Competition and the involvement of global leaders at the United Nations General Assembly in New York in September 2016; a meeting focused âon the commitment to fight antimicrobial resistance. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the problem of AMR is a threat to the achievements of modern medicine; the antibiotics resistance, especially those used as âlast resortâ, has reached alarming levels; five of the six WHO regions reported antibiotic resistance above 50%. In the Americas region, up to 90% of infections with Staphylococcus aureus are resistant to methicillin (methicillin-resistant S. aureus, MRSA) which causes failure of the usual antibiotic treatment. MRSA infections were confined to hospital environments. However, recent studies show their occurrence in the community (CA-MRSA). Recently, we recovered MRSA strains from healthy children in child care centers. These strains represent a risk of emergence of difficult treatment infections for carrier children. The objective of the work is to study the S. aureus multiresistant phenotype from a genomic perspective.
