These are supplementary files for te article "Evironmental determinants of perch (<i>Perca fluviatilis</i>) and the performance of simple vs. complex ecological predictors" by Leander Höhne et al. <br>"Fish.csv" = Raw data files of operculum-radii-at-age measurements of Eurasian perch from 13 gravel pit lakes in Lower Saxony, Germany, sampled by gillnetting and electrofishing."Lakes.csv" = Values for 16 biotic and abiotic variables of the same 13 gravel pit lakes, describing their morphometry, nutrient status, habitat availability, fish community, etc."Hoehne_fish" and Hoehne_lakes" contain the same data, but with more descriptive headers to facilitate interpretation, saved as Excel-files本数据集为莱安德罗·赫内（Leander Höhne）等人发表的论文《河鲈（*Perca fluviatilis*）的环境决定因素与简单/复杂生态预测器性能表现》的补充材料。"Fish.csv"：包含德国下萨克森州13座砂砾采石场湖泊河鲈的鳃盖骨年轮半径年龄测量原始数据，样本通过刺网与电渔法采集。"Lakes.csv"：收录上述13座砂砾采石场湖泊的16项生物与非生物变量数值，用于描述其形态测量特征、营养状态、栖息地可利用性及鱼类群落等信息。"Hoehne_fish"与"Hoehne_lakes"：包含与前述文件完全一致的数据，但采用更具描述性的表头以方便解读，文件格式为Excel。
