impact of high pressure on the structure of glucose/xylose isomerase (XI)
收藏资源简介:
This research is a continuation of previous investigations (MX-2517) and aims to further explore the impact of high pressure on the structure of glucose/xylose isomerase (XI), a homotetrameric protein with industrial significance. By conducting experiments using a diamond anvil cell (DAC) at pressures up to 600 MPa, we aim first to test this experimental setup (at 4 bunch mode) as well as to deepen our understanding of how pressure influences the stability of this protein, cavities size, and global conformational changes. The findings from this study will build upon existing knowledge in the field of macromolecular studies under extreme conditions and contribute to advancing our understanding of high-pressure protein crystallography, particularly in the context of industrial applications.
