Laboratory data of ice scallop formation using PIV

We conducted an experiment in a ice-water flume in a laboratory setting and collected PIV (particle image velocimetry) data. We forced warm water to flow over an initially flat ice surface, thus forming scallops. The PIV data record the detailed flow of the water near and in the scallops, before and after formation. The evolving shape of the ice interface is also recorded by the PIV.
