Literature review on content and discourse analyses of technoscientifc media coverage

This item comprises two dataframes on content and discourse analytical studies of technoscientific media coverage. Based on a database research and a subsequent pyramid search (random sample) 379 relevant studies were reviewed focussing on characterstics of the analysed studies themselves (e. g., journals, methodological approach), characteristics of the first authors (e. g., scientific domain, geographic origin) as well as characteristics of the analysed media coverage (e. g., subject of the media coverage and its relation to societal processes). Also references of the analysed studies were captured to examine the degree of reciprocal citations in the field.
