This dataset was generated using Oxford Nanopore technologies direct RNA sequencing of RNA extracted from whole blood of patients presenting with sepsis to Intensive care units and/or Emergency department, using R9.4 flowcells. The dataset was generated in order to find biomarkers which can distinguish different disease classes (i.e. reasons for febrile illness) including bacterial infection, viral infection.The data sets consists 12 samples. The samples are a subset of samples available from the companion dataset sequenced using short read Illumina sequencing (https://doi.org/10.48610/7f1ad77). The count files generated from this dataset are available on github (https://github.com/abcdtree/dRNA-ONT-blood)

本数据集通过牛津纳米孔(Oxford Nanopore)技术的直接RNA测序(direct RNA sequencing)生成,测序所用样本为因脓毒症就诊于重症监护病房(Intensive Care Units)和/或急诊科(Emergency department)的患者的全血提取RNA,测序采用R9.4测序流动池(flowcells)。本数据集的构建目的为筛选可区分不同疾病类别(即发热性疾病的致病诱因)的生物标志物(biomarkers),涵盖细菌感染与病毒感染两类。数据集共包含12个样本,为配套的短读长Illumina测序(short read Illumina sequencing)数据集(https://doi.org/10.48610/7f1ad77)的子集样本。由本数据集生成的计数文件已上传至GitHub,存储地址为https://github.com/abcdtree/dRNA-ONT-blood
