Local genetic adaptation in wild chimpanzees: Evidence from Cameroon

This study investigates the role of natural selection in the evolution of chimpanzees, challenging the conventional emphasis on neutral evolutionary processes in natural populations. To enhance SNP discovery, we sequenced and utilized this genome sequence of a sanctuary chimpanzee from Cameroon.
