VPRS 9895 Circulars to Permanent Heads of Departments

This series consists of manilla folders containing copies of circulars issued by the Premiers Office (VA 2717) during the period 1940 to 1969. From 1970 circulars were filed on the general correspondence files located in VPRS 7614 (refer to file 280/1).The circulars were issued to the Permanent Heads of Departments and relate to various issues/subjects, eg, Red Cross Appeal, Special Leave for Officers, flying of flags on public buildings etc.System of Arrangement/ControlThe folders are arranged chronologically by the date range covered. The circulars are filed in circular number order. Until 1952 circulars are numbered sequentially across a number of years before the numbers recommenced from one. From 1952 circulars were allocated an annual single number.

## 编排与管控体系
文件夹按其所覆盖的日期范围按时间顺序排列；通函则按照通函编号顺序归档。1952年以前，通函编号在多年区间内连续递增，直至1952年起编号重新从1开始启用；1952年起，通函每年分配独立的单一年度编号。
