CD-ROM Temperature Profile Data Set

This Compact Disc-Read Only Memory(CD-ROM) contains the temperature
profile data set (2,108,476 stations) collected in JODC from 1940 to
1993 from the domestic and international agency, and data inventory in
ASCII text files. The data station plot for every years and the
monthly mean temperature plot at 0 meter and 100 meter levels are also
contained in the GIF and Bit-Map format.
In addition, software to retrieve data from CD-ROM onto the file and
to browse data on the screen are contained.
This CD-ROM uses the standard volume and file structure of ISO9660.
The contents of CD-ROM are described in the ASCII text file named
"README.ENG" in English version at
"http://www.jodc.jhd.go.jp/data_set/jodc/jodc1-readme.html"
and "README.JPN" in Japanese, contains the structure of directory,
data source, data format, code tables, the explanation of the
attendant software.
