Data to reproduce the carotid artery analysis presented in Saqr et al., "Inherent turbulence in physiologic blood flow: evidence from chaos theory, fluid dynamics and in vivo measurements", Scientific Reports, 2020. The data is extracted from HaeMod Database of vascular hemodynamics (Patient number 1634). File name: flow_carotid_1634.csv Description: This spreadsheet reports the carotid flowrate waveform as it is provided in the HaeMod database. File name: velocity_carotid_1634.mat Description: This Matlab matrix reports the time-dependent velocity profile computed from the flowrate data above using the Womersley flow model. Format of the matrix data is [radius, time] and velocity unit is m/s. Parameters used for the computation are: T = 0.83 s; artery radius = 0.003765 m; blood density = 1060 kg/m3; blood viscosity = 0.0035 Pa.s; dr = 1e(-6) m and dt = T/1000 s.
