Dataset: Proposed Origin of the Burns Formation (Meridiani Planum, Mars) by Erosion, Reworking, and Diagenetic Alteration of a Grasberg-like Precursor

Dataset for the study entitled "Proposed Origin of the Burns Formation (Meridiani Planum, Mars) by Erosion, Reworking, and Diagenetic Alteration of a Grasberg-like Precursor" submitted to JGR-Planets. Contents include: (1) a compilation of chemical compositions for the Burns, Grasberg, and Murray formations, basaltic rocks, and soils measured by rovers on Mars; (2) geochemical mass-balance models for diagenetic addition of MgO and SO3 to the Burns formation; (3) diagrams and additonal calculations based on the compiled set of chemical compositions.本数据集对应投稿至JGR-Planets的研究论文《通过类格拉斯贝格（Grasberg）前驱体的侵蚀、再改造与成岩蚀变论证火星子午线平原（Meridiani Planum）伯恩斯地层（Burns Formation）的成因》，其内容包含：(1) 火星漫游车实测所得的伯恩斯地层、格拉斯贝格地层、默里地层（Murray Formation）、玄武岩及土壤的化学成分汇编；(2) 用于模拟伯恩斯地层中氧化镁（MgO）与三氧化硫（SO3）成岩富集的地球化学质量平衡模型；(3) 基于上述化学成分汇编绘制的图表及额外计算结果。
