The aim of this study was to assess likely bacterial pathogens associated with white syndrome in the coral Acropora muricata. To enable us to get a better understanding of likely pathogens we treated diseased corals with a range of antibiotics which would allow us to see which bacteria were eliminated or not and relate this to the most likely potential pathogens.
