Food consumption and its association with nutritional status, physical activity and sociodemographic factors of bariatric surgery candidates.

ABSTRACT Objective: to evaluate the association of food consumption with nutritional status, physical activity and sociodemographic factors in the bariatric surgery period preoperative. Methods: we conducted a cross-sectional study from 2018 to 2019, with patients admitted for bariatric surgery at the Oswaldo Cruz University Hospital, Federal University of Pernambuco. We collected data sociodemographic and nutritional data such as body mass index (BMI), waist circumference, highest weight and pre-surgical weight. We evaluated food consumption with the food frequency questionnaire based on the food pyramid adapted for bariatric patients and physical activity. Results: the study involved 60 patients, 78.3% were female, mean age was 38.8±9.6 years, 53.3% were married, and 70% had more than 12 years of education. As for physical activity, 31.7% were sedentary. Regarding nutritional status, the mean BMI was 47.3±6.96kg/m2. 摘要 研究目的:探讨减重手术术前阶段的食物摄入与营养状况、身体活动及社会人口学因素之间的关联。 方法:本研究于2018至2019年间开展横断面研究,研究对象为巴西伯南布哥联邦大学奥斯瓦尔多·克鲁斯大学医院收治的拟行减重手术的患者。本研究收集了社会人口学资料与营养相关数据,包括体质量指数(Body Mass Index, BMI)、腰围、最高体质量及术前体质量;采用基于适配减重患者的食物金字塔的食物频率问卷评估食物摄入情况,并评估身体活动水平。 结果:本研究共纳入60例患者,其中78.3%为女性,平均年龄为38.8±9.6岁,53.3%的患者已婚,70%的患者受教育年限超过12年。在身体活动水平方面,31.7%的患者为静坐少动(sedentary)。营养状况方面,患者的平均体质量指数为47.3±6.96 kg/m²。术前体质量、术前最高体质量及腰围在男性患者中更高(p
