Maritime passenger transport volume Finland 2011-2021, by port

The number of international maritime passengers traveling via Finnish ports increased from roughly 17.4 million in 2010 to over 19.1 million in 2019. In 2020, the volume of maritime passenger transport declined dramatically due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, amounting to nearly 6.7 million. The decline continued in 2021, to over 6.2 million international maritime passengers traveling via Finnish ports.Throughout the shown period, the largest Finnish ports in terms of passenger transport were Helsinki, Turku, Mariehamn, and Eckerö. In 2021, roughly 3.7 million passengers traveled via Helsinki's ports. The passenger volume in Turku amounted to over one million, followed by Mariehamn with roughly 715 thousand passengers.
