The Cognitive Fingerprint of Human Learning vs. AI Mediation

Version 2 (2026): adds a Unique_Essay_ID primary key resolving two duplicate essay identifiers caused by Turnitin Paper-ID logging collisions; adds a Genre column recording each essay's rhetorical mode; corrects the genre of the two collision-affected assignment essays to Balanced Opinion following verification against the original assignment prompts; adds a Turnitin_AI_Pct column (archived AI-writing detection scores for 78 of 84 assignment essays) enabling independent reproduction of the detection-threshold sensitivity analysis; and adds replicate_analyses.py, a script reproducing all published statistics from the CSV. No metric values changed. Data were collected in the Fall 2024 semester (August to December 2024); the study was approved under Exempt Status Review by the Baker University IRB on September 15, 2025.
